.On December 5th, 2020, AIChE ITS Student Chapter’s Professional Development department organized held a Webinar: Inspirational Class 1.0 with Mr.Afif Purwandi, a CPO office analyst at pinhome holding the title of Indonesia’s 3rd most outstanding Student in 2019, and Mr.Timotius Giovandi, E-Commerce Executive at PT Nutrifood Indonesia and a technical ex-team leader of SPECTRONICS ITS Chem-E-Car team speakers for the event. This event was held as a place of information and share the experiences about the world of college and providing new students insight, tips and tricks on how to excel in a certain field to encourage hem to explore their interests and get the most out of it.
The event was held online with our topic about “How to Boost the College Lifes “. It was attended by 178 participants from various majors in various universities all across Indonesia.
There are 4 key areas that you need to consider to enhance your college life which are vision & purpose, Environment, Network, and time management. you can not have the courage and long-term motivation if you don’t have a vision. Always think about yourself for the next 5 or 10 years what you will become and then you can break it down into small pieces such as what will you do every year to achieve that long-term plan and find a role model and mentor to fulfill your vision & purposes. find a professional partner and build a like-minded environment. trying to join competitions or joining organizations to broaden your view and also expand your network in college life. lastly, try to maximize your free time and make a google calendar to manage your time.
There are 2 concepts to enhance your college life: Exploit, an effort to improve based on current talent or ability and Explore, Effort to improve by learning something new. Before you contribute to an organization in college, you need to analyze the 3 things which are performed over the long run, good mentor, and external support. also, managing your effort for a better benefit is an important thing.
